Benefits of Hiring Athletes & Olympians

When planning your next event, consider breaking out of the box by hiring an athlete or an Olympian. Let me tell you why….

Hi, I’m Rich Libner with MCP Talent Agency.

Today I want to discuss with you the benefits of hiring athletes and Olympians for your next event or gathering!

When you look under the surface of top athletes you will see more than just raw natural ability.

There is more than just being great at a sport to be a successful athlete.

You will see high levels of:

Discipline
Focus
Work ethic
Drive
Determination
Devotion
Heart
Dedication
Personal sacrifices
Overcoming adversity
Coping with constant pain and injuries

True athletes are able to share their experiences through parallels in the sports and business world as they have the same steps to success! They are able to share their inspiring journeys of how they overcame obstacles to reach the top.

Athletes and Olympians alike are great for speaking engagements, appearances and even endorsements.

The fees for speaking engagements and appearances start in the $5000 to $25,000 range, and plan to be over $25,000 for endorsements.

If you have any questions about hiring an athlete or Olympian, I’d be more than happy to help in any way! Visit our website or call TOLL FREE 1-800-693-6665 to speak with me!

Thanks for watching and I’ll talk to you soon!

Four Key Mistakes You DON'T Want to Make When Setting Up an Event

Watch on your mobile device >>

So you’ve found the perfect entertainment for next event…Think you have the perfect room set-up?

Would you like to learn the 4 biggest mistakes that are made when setting up a room for your next event.

Hi, I’m Rich Libner with MCP Talent Agency.

Today I want to discuss with you the 4 Key Mistakes you do NOT want to make when setting up a room for your next speaker and ONE BONUS TIP in case you find yourself hosting your next event in a restaurant!

You might be asking yourself, “Does it matter how the room is set up?”
You bet it does!

The first Key in setting up the room is to make sure there is no separation between the audience and your entertainer.  You will want to make sure everyone in your audience is able to see the stage…great line of sight for everyone in the audience is crucial.

The second item is that by all means…. the audience must not be eating. They must be seated with their attention directed to the stage.

The third item that is most commonly overlooked in room set-up is that the stage should be in a well-lit area so the audience can see the entertainer’s facial expressions.

You’ll want to position the stage against a wall and not in the middle of the room.

Ceiling speakers are not to be used, these speakers are usually used for quiet background music and become easily distorted and very hard for your audience to understand.  If you have a larger audience you will want to place speakers in the front and the middle of your audience.

NOW before I leave you, I have one more piece of advice…
If you have booked a restaurant you will need an enclosed private room, it isn’t a good idea to try to go over the volume level of the restaurant.  If you can reserve the whole restaurant for your private event then that is a better way to go.

If you don’t want to make these common mistakes at your next event…be sure to visit our website or call TOLL FREE 1-800-693-6665 to speak with me! I would be more than happy to answer any and all of your questions.

Make it a great day!

Easy Steps to Follow for Finding the Perfect Speaker

Watch on your mobile device >>

Planning any event is filled with hard-work. There are always long lists of tasks that need to be completed; from reserving a venue to ordering the food to the scores of minute details necessary to make an event great. While you are in a haste organizing the event, make life a little bit easier for you by working with an entertainment and speaking consultant to book a speaker.

In order to ensure that you book the right speaker for your event, there are a couple key steps that you need to follow. By following these steps, you will make the process of picking a speaker much easier on yourself and you will guarantee that your attendees will leave with the right message that you were trying to convey.

Start with the Basics
The first step of your planning process is to figure out the requirements for your speaker. Get the basics established as a framework before you move forward. This includes establishing the date of the engagement, location, start time and length of time required for the speaker to be on stage. Once you have determined the key, fundamental details you can begin to move forward with your selection of a speaker.

Choose a Topic
You should next turn your attention to the topic you wish your speaker to engage on. There are dozens of different types of professional speakers to choose from: athletes, professional business people, entertainers and politicians just to name a few. Messages can cross-over between different professional fields, but you can narrow down the list of possible speakers by determining what kind of background you wish your speaker to have. Next, think about what you would like an audience member to take away from the event. Though a speaker’s time on stage may last longer than an hour, your audience may leave the event with a general, short summary of what they heard. Make sure they leave with the theme YOU want them to leave with.

The Finishing Touches of Finding the Right Speaker
Next, you will want to establish a budget for your speaker before you begin your search. Establishing a budget will help you narrow down the list of speakers you would consider using for your event. Once you have your budget established, you can create a short list of speakers that meet your criteria to choose from. The shortlist can be provided to you by an entertainment and speaking consultant. The shortlist includes bios, presentation and topic outlines, video examples of previous engagements, and client testimonials. Once you have picked your speaker, agreed upon the costs, expenses, payments, details and any special requests in writing BEFORE the event.
